The Committee is made up of volunteers who run
your WI on your behalf.
Each Committee member is elected for one year.
The President is elected at the Annual Meeting, by a secret ballot of the members, from the elected Committee members, for one year. The President is the lynch-pin of the WI, is the leader of the Committee and sets the style of the WI. Eileen is one of the founder member of WAGs.
The Vice President is elected by the Committee, and supports the President in the running of the WI. Jane is also our Programme Co-ordinator, Bishops Waltham Group of WIs Group Treasurer, and assists with the organisation of Dress for Dinner.
Sue is the new Secretary, she will work closely with the President. and shares the responsibility for the general arrangements of meeting, being responsible for seeing Committee business is carried out. The Secretary is elected annually, by the Committee.
Cindy records income and expenditure of the WI, pays the bills, accepts payments for events and subs, and keeps the accounts for the WI. Cindy also looks after the Gift Aid submissions. The Treasurer is elected annually, by the Committee.
Annette has rejoined the Committee, having been an Adviser for 5 years, and served as Vice President and Secretary for WAGs previously. She keeps the website up to date.
On our meeting nights Kim helps out Cindy on the Registration table, and keeps our membership records up to date on the WI's Membership Communication System (MCS).
Marion puts the comprehensive newsletter together every month, and keeps the website up to date. Marion also helps Sue with Meet & Greet on our meeting nights.
Avril has served as Secretary for three years, she has remained on the Committee to help out with Events and activities.
Wendy has rejoined the Committee after a break away, she has taken over keeping our scrapbook up to date, and will be helping with refreshments at our WI meetings.
Mo works very hard organising the Dress for Dinner events for WAGs, and on our meeting nights is busy with Avril on our Events Table.
